Creation of the company, made up of Normandy farmers making nets by hand.

Filt is unfortunately in ruins after the bombing of the city of Caen.
The workshop was completely destroyed.
1948
Production resumed after much effort and determination to rebuild.
1967
The Filt brand is registered.
2003 à 2010
A large wave of investment of 1 million euros takes place.
2010
Filt celebrates its 150th anniversary! We receive the Innovation Trophy, awarded by INPI, the French National Institute of Industrial Property.
2013
We become an approved exporter for South Korea, the Maghreb countries, Egypt, Mexico, South Africa, Israel and the Overseas Countries and Territories.
2015
Filt receives a new Trophy for international commercial performance from the French Commercial Managers.
2017
Filt did not have a bad day!
We receive the Made in Normandy Trophy, awarded by the Region.
Filt receives the label " Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant ". Filt1860 is now a Normandy epv company. The only State Label, awarded by the Ministry of Industry. To date, there are 1400 EPV companies in France, rewarded for their know-how of excellence.

WHO ARE THEY?
Filt 1860 is a textile company created in 1860, in Normandy, specialized in knitting nets and braiding candle wicks. Their goal? To offer you quality products made in France while keeping our know-how. And yes, it is about twenty people, who, every day work at Filt1860 to maintain the textile industry in France.
Present in France but also abroad, 50% of their products are sold internationally. You can find some of their products made with love in New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Milan, or even Berlin and Montreal. Their little nets go abroad to share the French way of life!
