Clean after use with soapy water and dry immediately.
You can treat the wood by applying a little edible vegetable oil with a brush.

Shou Sugi Ban is a unique firing technique inspired by centuries-old Japanese traditions. The surface of the wood chars and becomes extraordinarily hard-wearing in a natural way because the fire extremely compacts the cells in the wood. This keeps mould, water, rot, weathering and pests at bay.
Black edition is a presentation board only. Not for cutting.
