The Parisian duo behind Brigitte Tanaka reimagines the humble plastic bag of French neighbourhood shops in translucent nylon organza, embroidered with vintage-style illustrations: the green cross of the Pharmacie, a wheel of cheese for the Fromagerie, spools and notions for the Mercerie, farmyard animals for the Boucherie, fresh vegetables for the Primeur, pencils and a tiger notebook for the Papeterie, a gardener and his wheelbarrow for the Jardinerie and old tools for the Quincaillerie.

Light, strong and reusable, it folds to almost nothing yet carries real weight. The large Jardinerie and Quincaillerie hold up to 6 kg and have handles long enough to wear on the shoulder, while the small Mercerie and Fromagerie, with their gusset, are just right for a lunch box or as an organiser inside your handbag.

A charming, eco-minded alternative to the plastic bag, with all the spirit of a Parisian street of little shops.
